About the Founder: Why We Built This

The "Gut-Punch" Moment.

We’ve all been there. That cold realization at 11:00 PM that your laptop is still at the cafe, your keys are somewhere on a five-mile trail, or a critical piece of gear never made it out of the venue.

I’ve spent a career in high-tech, helping build massive, complex systems. But when it comes to the things we carry every day, I realized the "high-tech" solutions were actually failing us. Bluetooth trackers are expensive, their batteries die right when you need them, and they rely on a perfect digital "ping" that doesn't always happen.

A Simpler, Human Solution.

I wanted something that worked every time. No charging, no subscriptions, and no complexity. I wanted a way to let the world be a little more neighborly.

HeyFound.it was born here in Austin, built on the idea that most people actually want to do the right thing—they just need a 5-second way to do it. By putting a simple, durable QR code on your gear, you’re giving a "Good Samaritan" the exact tool they need to get your property back to you without the headache.

From the Trails to the DJ Booth.

Whether it’s protecting a high-end mountain bike, a professional camera, or a specialized music setup, I built this for people who live active, creative lives. We invest a lot in our gear, and "lost" shouldn't have to mean "gone."

Our mission is simple: To create the world’s most reliable bridge between the person who lost it and the person who found it.

Thanks for being part of the community. Let’s make sure your gear always finds its way home.
