1. The Service

HeyFound.it sells physical QR products (stickers, tags, patches, keychains) and operates the recovery portal they link to. Buying a product includes lifetime access to the portal for that tag — no subscription required for core recovery features.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for the accuracy of the contact details in your vault. We use those details only to relay finder messages to you.

3. Tags & Claims

A tag belongs to the account that claims it first. Don’t claim tags you don’t own. We may release tags from inactive or fraudulent accounts.

4. Rewards & Escrow

Rewards are offered by owners, not by HeyFound.it. Where reward escrow is available, held funds are released to the owner’s chosen recipient when the owner confirms recovery. Abuse of the reward system results in account termination.

5. The Relay

Finder messages are relayed as-is. Don’t use the relay to harass, spam, or attempt to identify other users. We rate-limit and may block abusive senders.

6. Acceptable Use

Don’t use HeyFound.it tags for tracking people, unlawful surveillance, or any illegal purpose. Tags identify items, never persons.

7. Liability

We work hard to reunite you with your gear but cannot guarantee recovery of any item. The service is provided "as is" to the maximum extent permitted by law.

8. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on this page with a revised effective date.
